La petrolera argentina Vista Energy ha adquirido los activos de Equinor Argentina, titular de los bloques Bandurria Sur y Bajo del Toro situados en el yacimiento de hidrocarburos Vaca Muerta, por un total de 712 millones de dólares (601 millones de euros), según comunicó la empresa a la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores.

En la operación se incluye la adquisición de un 25,1% de participación no operada en Bandurria Sur y un 35% en Bajo del Toro, ambos bloques controlados por la estatal YPF.

Al mismo tiempo, YPF ha invertido 163 millones de dólares (137 millones de euros) para incrementar su participación en el área de Bandurria Sur hasta el 44,9% y en Bajo del Toro y Bajo del Toro Norte hasta el 65%, según informó la petrolera a la Comisión Nacional de Valores (CNV) argentina.

Bandurria Sur es una concesión de explotación no convencional de hidrocarburos adjudicada en 2015 por 35 y que produjo 84.900 barriles equivalentes de petróleo por día durante el tercer trimestre del 2025, mientras que Bajo del Toro Norte es una concesión adjudicada en 2021 por 35 años que produjo 3.600 barriles equivalentes de petróleo al día.
